Jeunesse et Arts Plastiques invited me to make an installation in their windows in Brussels.
A radical choice of modestie was made regarding the materials and the very few tools that were used as well as the shapes that are obtained. Accumulated tree branches and reused black leather constitute the raw material for this installation.

The black and variable lines represented by the broken and assembled tree branches covered in leather, recompose a set of signs and pictograms which make us think of rock art as well as childrens drawings. The elements question the idea of shelter and its huge fragility.
Being particularly focused on the transformation and disappearance of living beings, these drawing-sculptures express a desire to archive and to preserve the trace of a memory, even if it means reinventing it.
